Getting Started with Tripl-i

Welcome to Tripl-i! This guide will help you get up and running with our AI-powered IT infrastructure intelligence platform in just a few minutes.

Tripl-i transforms your IT operations by automatically discovering infrastructure, mapping dependencies, and providing AI-powered insights. Here's what you'll achieve in this guide:

Getting Your Account​

1. Sign Up for Tripl-i​

Visit my.tripl-i.com and click Sign Up to create your account:

  1. Enter your business email address
  2. Choose a strong password
  3. Verify your email address
  4. Complete your organization profile
Single Sign-On Available

If your organization uses Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) or Google Workspace, you can skip password creation and use SSO instead. See Configuring SSO for setup instructions.

2. Choose Your Plan​

Select the plan that best fits your needs:

  • Starter: Up to 100 devices, perfect for small teams
  • Professional: Up to 1,000 devices with advanced features
  • Enterprise: Unlimited devices with full AI capabilities
  • Trial: 14-day free trial with all features enabled

3. Organization Setup​

Configure your organization settings:

  1. Organization Name: Your company name
  2. Time Zone: For accurate scheduling and reporting
  3. Primary Contact: Technical contact for alerts
  4. Notification Preferences: Email, SMS, or Slack

🔍 First Discovery Scan​

1. Download Discovery Agent​

From your dashboard, navigate to Discovery → Agents and download the appropriate agent for your environment:

  • Windows Agent: For discovering Windows servers and workstations
  • Linux Agent: For discovering Linux/Unix systems
  • Network Agent: For SNMP-based network device discovery
  • Cloud Agent: For AWS, Azure, and GCP infrastructure

The agent installer will guide you through the setup process with a simple wizard interface.

2. Generate Discovery Token​

In the Tripl-i dashboard:

  1. Navigate to Settings → Discovery Tokens
  2. Click Generate New Token
  3. Configure token settings:
    • Name: Descriptive name (e.g., "Production Network")
    • Permissions: Select discovery scope
    • Expiration: Set token lifetime
  4. Copy the generated token securely

3. Configure Discovery Scope​

Define what to discover:

  1. Go to Discovery → Configuration
  2. Set discovery parameters:
    • IP Ranges: Define network segments to scan
    • Credentials: Add service accounts for WMI/SSH access
    • Schedule: Set scan frequency (recommended: every 4 hours)
    • Discovery Depth: Choose between Quick, Standard, or Deep scan

4. Monitor Discovery Progress​

Watch as your infrastructure is discovered:
