Site Management
Site Management allows you to define and organize your organization's physical locations, making it easier to track where assets are deployed and who to contact at each location.
Accessing Site Management
- Navigate to Settings in the main menu
- Select Sites from the settings options
- The Site List view displays all configured sites

Step 6: Associate IP Ranges
Select one or more Discovery Schedules to associate with this site. This links network ranges to physical locations for automatic asset-to-site mapping.
Step 7: Save
Click Create Site to save the new site.
Site Types
Choose the appropriate type for each site:
| Type | Use Case |
|---|---|
| Office | Standard office locations with end-user workstations |
| Datacenter | Primary computing facilities with servers and infrastructure |
| Warehouse | Storage facilities, may contain inventory systems |
| Branch | Smaller office locations, typically remote from headquarters |

Editing a Site
- Click on a site row in the Site List
- Modify the desired fields
- Click Save Changes
Deleting a Site
A site cannot be deleted if Configuration Items (CIs) are assigned to it. First reassign or remove all CIs from the site.
- Select the site to delete
- Click the Delete button
- Confirm the deletion
IP Range Association
Linking Discovery Schedules (IP ranges) to sites provides:
- Automatic Location Assignment: Assets discovered in a network range are automatically associated with the corresponding site
- Geographic Reporting: Generate reports based on physical location
- Network-to-Physical Mapping: Understand the relationship between network topology and physical infrastructure
How to Associate IP Ranges
- Edit the site
- In the IP Ranges section, click Add IP Range
- Select from available Discovery Schedules
- Save the site
Filtering and Searching Sites
The Site List supports:
- Search: Find sites by name, code, or city
- Filter by Status: Show only active, inactive, or maintenance sites
- Filter by Type: Show only specific site types
Best Practices
Naming Conventions
Use consistent naming that includes:
- Location identifier (city, region)
- Site type
- Optional sequence number
Examples:
NYC-DC-01(New York Datacenter 1)LON-OFFICE(London Office)APAC-BRANCH-SG(APAC Branch Singapore)
Contact Information
- Always assign a primary contact
- Keep contact information up to date
- Use role-based emails when possible (e.g., datacenter-ops@company.com)
IP Range Mapping
- Map all production network ranges to sites
- Review IP range associations after network changes
- Use meaningful names for Discovery Schedules to make site association clearer
Integration with CMDB
Sites integrate with the CMDB in several ways:
- CI Assignment: CIs can be assigned to a specific site
- Discovery Integration: Discovered assets are automatically associated with sites based on IP ranges
- Reporting: Generate reports filtered by site
- Impact Analysis: Understand the scope of incidents by site
